We love the compact size of this basket, it is 19 inches long and has a 9L x 5W x 3D inch non-stick cooking basket. Our main use for shaker grill baskets is typically mushrooms and onions when grilling steaks. This basket is a perfect fit for that.

Moistly Grilled

New Product Spotlight The Moistly Grilled Grill Humidifier System is two cast iron bars with vented lids that go directly on your grill grates. The bars hold water or any flavored liquid that you prefer. This adds humidity to the typically dry heat of your grilling environment. Every once in a while a product comes along that makes you say “why didn’t I think of that”, this is one of those products.

According to the instructions it should be used with indirect heat. This makes sense because when you are cooking with direct heat generally speaking your meat is seared and cooks rapidly. Use these with any larger slow cooking piece of meat to ensure it ends up moist and juicy! Like any piece of cast iron cookware there is a little upkeep involved but the end results would surely be worth the extra effort.

Barbecue Sauce Mop

New Product Spotlight Fox Run’s chili pepper design sauce mop. This barbecue sauce mop is impressive to say the least. It is 12 inches long with a plastic handle and has flat silicon bristles. Each bristle is 5 inches long and about .25 inches wide with several chili pepper shaped holes in it. I guesstimate about 80 bristles total. They claim it will hold up to 30% more sauce then your traditional cotton mop and with the large head I wouldn’t doubt that at all. Just by looking at it I guess it would hold about a quarter to a half a jar of sauce in one dunk.

Needless to say this product probably isn’t for your average griller doing a couple racks of ribs at a time especially at $14.99. But for a barbecue joint or competitive bbq team it would save them a lot of time inside the cooking chamber. With the plastic handle and silicone bristles it is top rack dishwasher safe as well.

Guy Fieri Bar-b-crew

Guy Fieri Tweeted @4thegrill Winner winner, chicken dinner! What a money tweet! We have never been tweeted by a celebrity before we are thrilled. It is nice to be acknowledged once in a while. Even better then that is that fact is since that tweet the Guy Fieri Bar-b-crew products have been flying out of here. Coincidence? I think not. We are about to run out of his grill grids but back-up inventory is on the way as I write this.

Guy Fieri BBQ Skewers

Last but not least, the Guy Fieri barbecue skewers. These 13-inch long stainless steel skewers really have a Fieri feel to them. The large round ends are molded like a cow and chicken and from a distance look like the large rings he wears on TV.

Guy Fieri Bar-b-crew

Guy Fieri Bar-B-Crew products. Late in the day on Friday the long anticipated (for us anyway) Guy Fieri products finally arrived. All we had time to do was to get them up on the site and orderable before the weekend. Outset announced the partnership with Guy over a year ago and when the company switched hands at the end of last year we thought the project was dead. Out of the blue we got an e-mail with a list of the items that are in stock and available now, so we jumped on it. Some of the items are just run of the mill while others are unique in there own way all the products are very good quality and we love the packaging. While Guy is not the chef who comes to mind when it comes to grilling, we love his personality and unique personal style.

The run of the mill items in the line are the smoker boxes, squirt bottles and the steak thermometers. While all sporting the Guy Fieri flair there are a lot of these particular products available and we see nothing really special with them.

The Black leather grill gloves are lined inside with a red fabric and the hands and fingers have an added layer on insulation. The Guy signature and logo are actually stitched into the leather in red giving them a nice high end appearance.

Guy Fieri Grill Grid Nonstick

Guy’s Nonstick Grill Grid could be the best grill grid we carry. It is a thick heavy metal that will promote even heating; the high sides prevent your food from falling off when turning, it also has a small lip in the front as well. The plated handles are riveted on the side for strength and durability. At twenty bucks it is well worth the money.

Guy Fieri Super Spatula

Guy Fieri Bar-B-Crew products continued. The Guy Fieri Grill Surface Thermometer is just plain huge at 3.5 inches in diameter it is the largest surface thermometer we have ever seen. It has wire loops at both ends so that it can be mounted under the grates or easily moved if it is sitting on top of the grates.

The Super Spatula is an extra long 22 inches and it has a very cool look to it. It is be very sturdy and has a large spatula blade and has a bottle opener built in.

Well so much for my weekend plans, late yesterday the new Maverick Smoker thermometers showed up. So now I have a pile of orders that have to be processed and taken to the post office before noon. But I am not complaining, I’d much rather process orders then clean and paint anyway. At least this puts a smile on my face. We are one of the only sites to have the ET-732’in stock right now so I temporarily suspended the giveaway that went with them. If you know what is was we were giving away with it just put a note on the order with the item number or description and we will throw it in anyway. At the rate that these are selling right now I would be surprised if they last until Monday so order quickly if you want one. I will place a reorder with Maverick on Monday so the supply should be replenished quickly.

Last night we grilled a skirt steak and it was delicious. We have a Mexican grocery store (La Loma Akron Ohio) that we discovered that sells pre-prepared meats we just have to grill them up. OMG (sorry I hate sounding like a 12 year old) were those delicious, simply unbelievable flavors! Since we have discovered La Loma we can finally produce Mexican food better then any restaurant. Really that was the week spot in our cooking around here. Now we eat Mexican every other day or so and we love it! So I recommend that you find yourself an ethnic grocery store nearby and discover new taste sensations.

As you probably have not noticed, the number of items that we carry is creeping back up to around the 800 mark again. As we bring in the new and delete the slower moving and discontinued items the number just keep climbing. We are always on the lookout for new and innovative product that we think will sell.

Maverick Competition Smoker with Remote Thermometer

A few days back we stumbled upon Mavericks new Competition Smoker. It looks like a UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker) but it is tricked out. It is already setup for the et73 remote smoker thermometer that is included with the kit. It is ready to accept the BBQ Guru fan as well. It looks like real nice product that we would love to sell but there is one huge drawback. Shipping it out will cost us over $100 per unit. Turns out the box is 1 inch to large so both UPS and Fedex tack an extra $50 oversized box charge on it. I am hoping that we can work something out with Fedex to get our shipping costs down. After all, the box is at the very bottom of the size scale for this massive charge.
