Grilling woks and bowls are basically a high sided barbecue grill topper that has holes in the bottom. Place smaller food items in the wok or bowl, and place the grill bowl directly onto your grill grates. The holes allow the grilled flavor to come through and when it is time to turn, simply stir.
A grill wok is a very versatile barbecue tool and will allow you to grill smaller things that you would never consider grilling without one. Not only can a wok be used for stir fry you can use it for fajitas or my favorite things to do is throw some mushrooms and onions in it while grilling steak. When choosing between a grill wok or grill bowl keep in mind that a wok's flat sides allow you to stir with a spatula while the round grill bowls are better off when tongs are used. Either way silicone tipped tools should be uses to protect the surface of either.
Wok Grilling Tip: When grilling sliced onions leave them round to prevent them from falling through the holes of your wok. Also if you choose to oil your food use a minimal amount to prevent flare-ups. Place the food into a bowl add oil and stir until lightly coated. Then pick the food up with your grill tongs and shake any excess oil off before placing into your wok.
