You pour the sauce into the chamber and attach the silicone bristled head. You can control the amount of sauce being applied by the lever on the head, and when you need more simply turn the dial located on the handle.

This is one complex tool for simply applying your barbecue sauce. It does not appear to be for light use, in fact the cleanup alone would prevent us from using it on a few slabs of ribs. However, when grilling barbecue for a large crowd this sauce spreader will make your life a lot easier. No more dipping your sauce mop every few minutes.

The sauce holding bellows detaches from the handle with a small clamp allowing you pour your sauce directly into them. There is a wheel in the rubberized grip handle that you turn in order to squeeze the bellow dispensing the barbecue sauce through the hole  in the silicone dispensing head. The bellows are large enough to hold an entire bottle of your favorite sauce.

The sauce spreader itself weighs a few pounds so with the sauce it is fairly heavy. It is designed for one-handed use so that you can sauce and move your food around on your grill at the same time.

It is designed for use with thicker sauces a pure liquid mop say apple juice would run right through it.
